The 37th Congress of Urology will be held in Amsterdam from 1 to 4 July 2022. The Congress of the European Association of Urology (EAU22) is the largest urological event in Europe. The EAU 2022 sees itself as a multidisciplinary event that also addresses other specialties.

The 37th EAU Congress to take place 1-4 July 2022 in Amsterdam

The EAU Congress 2022 will last four days. This year's venue is the RAI Congress Centre in Amsterdam. The scientific programme will be compact and diverse with a few game-changer events and plenary sessions to already take place on day one of the scientific gathering. Furthermore, EAU22 will include lectures, live surgeries, symposia, educational sessions and case study discussions.

Live surgeries and live continuing education courses

The latest research developments will be presented in the symposia and lectures at the EAU Congress 2022. Young urologists will be able to participate in the European School of Urology's continuing education courses at the congress and improve their skills on site. In order to be able to look at each topic from all sides in a multidisciplinary way, non-medical experts from patient and patient care will also speak in the sessions.

EAU22 is the first on site congress since the EAU 2019 in Barcelona. However, many events will still be broadcast virtually. Events from three session halls will be livestreamed. Later, there will be on-demand access to recordings of the other sessions.

What is the focus of this year's EAU Congress?

The EAU 2022 with impress with its large variety of topics: The congress will begin with sessions showcasing changes in the treatment of different urological cancers. Plenary sessions will focus on the current status of liquid biomarkers and the perioperative treatment of urothelial carcinomas.

Other sessions will discuss the latest developments on prostate cancer and renal carcinoma, discuss current guidelines and present guideline updates. Other topics include technical developments in urology, the role of genetic profiling in urological diseases, insights into paediatric urology and the use of robotics in reconstruction.

On the first day of the event, participants will also gain insights into the work of other urological societies, e.g. Australia and New Zealand (USANZ), Asia (FAUA) or America (CAU).
